Henry, O. [William Sydney Porter]

11 September 1862 - 5 June 1910

American writer of short stories, often with a comic or sentimental aspect; his most famous work is the much-anthologized "The Gift of the Magi," which effectively illustrates his signature penchant for "twist" endings.
