Molesworth, Mary Louisa

29 May 1839 - 20 January 1921

(occasional pseud. Ennis Graham) Scottish author of children's stories, very popular in the late Victorian period and early C20. Best known, in this regard, for The Cuckoo Clock (1877) and The Tapestry Room (1879) — works illustrated by the popular Walter Crane — Molesworth also wrote a number of ghostly tales.
