Derleth, August

24 February 1909 - 4 July 1971

American writer, poet, editor, and publisher, perhaps best known (in Gothic circles, anyway) for his Arkham House publishing company, which specialized in horror, and for his championing of the works of H. P. Lovecraft. Much of Derleth's work lies outside the scope of this website.
